A general contractor hires the subcontractors, sets the schedules, coordinates with inspectors and suppliers and purchases some or all of the building materials. He is responsible for getting it done on time and within budget. Building a home is not a perfect science and sometimes pitfalls come up that need to be resolved. Mike is a hands-on home builder/contractor on site almost every day during construction, after all this is probably your biggest investment and you want it done right. Your construction loan lender also wants to see that the person who's doing the work is a qualified home builder.
Before anything is built you need a clear picture in your mind of what you want. Tour models, look at magazines and floor plans. Start a scrapbook or folder of features and details you want to include. Make all the changes you want on paper with your house designer before construction starts. Even the smallest changes will cost you more after construction begins. You don't need to know much about materials and such as Mike will guide you through home building codes and choices to fit your needs and budget. Remember green home building in the Northwest is different from other areas but Mike knows what works best in this area. We meet the highest standards for quality and energy efficiency to save you money on your utility bills.
What impressed us most about Mike Perine is his honesty & integrity. He is very conscientious about his work & if it's not right, he'll make it right. He worked with us throughout the building of our home to get what we wanted the way we wanted it. Our final inspector even told us Mikes work was always exemplary. We have recommended Mike to our family members.
